Are you having a hard time getting leads from your inbound email marketing campaigns? Need some help? That’s why we’re here!
There’s no doubt that email is still one of the best channels for driving marketing ROI which is why marketers keep sending thousands of emails every day. However, only those who manage to turn those emails into a successful inbound channel see better results.
To belong to that group of successful inbound marketers, here are some golden rules for creating inbound marketing emails that actually work.
1. Don’t Always Talk About Your Product
Nobody likes to hear about your product or services all the time. Nobody needs that much information. As a person, we all have our own set of challenges and busy routines. So, why not help them tackle a problem or bring a jolt of joy and inspiration in their life?
If you happen to have some news or update about your product, just give them a shout out. But don’t overwhelm your subscribers with loads of self-promotion. Create variations and surprise your audience with something new and interesting every now and then.
Remember less is more.
2. Set A Specific Goal
Well, it’s a good thing to help your customers but your emails should also serve your business goal. Don’t beat around the bush. Just be direct and clear while delivering your message to your customers. Seeing a lot of content may just make your audience hit that back button. I’m sure no one likes to read the useless text that takes ages to deliver the exact point. Would you?
3. Make Your Messages Personal
‘Personalizing? I’ll just add my customer’s first name in emails.’ This just might be what you’re thinking but believe me, it’s only going to take you downhill. Oops!
Personalization is so much more than just using your customer’s first name. For starters, try to learn more about your customers. Oh, wait! You can also make use of your team member’s email rather than your company email to add some personal touch. This will make your email more personal and can have a positive impact on your business engagement. After all, we all are people who do business with other people that are like us.
But don’t forget to keep it within the limit.

4. Proofread Your Email
By proofread, I do not mean just checking spelling and grammatical mistakes. Check how compelling the content of your email is. Your messages should be delivered clearly to your customers which should inspire them to perform the action you desire them to perform. Remember the mantra, ‘Keep Calm and Proofread’.
5. Write A Killer Subject Line
